Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Field Superintendent to join our dynamic construction management team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Field Superintendent to ensure that our projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating daily operations, managing subcontractors, and supporting the overall project schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily construction activities and ensure they are carried out according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Participate in safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety on site.
- Support the Field Superintendent in monitoring project progress, documenting changes, and communicating updates to stakeholders.
- Help maintain project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and correspondence.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Preferred:
- Experience working on commercial or residential construction projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Construction-related certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with construction management software, such as Procore or PlanGrid.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
