Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Production Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in optimizing production processes and driving operational excellence. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production engineers, providing guidance on best practices and innovative solutions

- Implement performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure team effectiveness and alignment with company goals
Production System Optimization:
- Architect and oversee the implementation of robust production systems to ensure high availability and reliability

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that support business objectives
Incident Management and Resolution:
- Develop and enforce incident management processes to quickly address and resolve production issues
- Lead post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventive measures
- Utilize monitoring tools and practices to maintain optimal system performance and uptime
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in production engineering or related field, with a proven track record of managing production systems
- Strong background in system architecture, cloud services, and containerization technologies
- Expertise in incident management and root cause analysis methodologies
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency
Preferred:
- Experience in leading teams within a hybrid work environment
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of production system architecture, including microservices and distributed systems
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef
