Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive design vision that aligns with the company's strategic goals and enhances user experience across all platforms.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of designers, providing guidance on design thinking, user-centered design principles, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to integrate design processes into the product lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to execution.
  • Advocate for user research and testing, using data-driven insights to inform design decisions and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
  • Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines that reflect the brand's values and ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver on design initiatives while meeting project timelines and objectives.
  • Represent the design team at executive levels, articulating the value of design in driving business results and fostering a design-centric culture within the organization.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in design leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading design teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and outcomes.
  • Experience in integrating design thinking into product development processes and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a technology-driven company, with familiarity in agile methodologies and product management.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
  • A background in research methodologies, including usability testing and user interviews.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Deep understanding of design systems, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
