Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic early childhood education team. In this fully remote role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them develop essential skills through play and exploration.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in maintaining a positive classroom environment that encourages inclusivity and respect.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and caregivers about their development.
- Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning activities.
- Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment by adhering to established safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a preschool environment.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Familiarity with virtual teaching tools and platforms.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in online learning platforms and educational software.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans for virtual delivery, ensuring engagement and interaction.
- Basic understanding of child assessment tools and documentation methods.
