Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Poultry Pathology to lead our poultry health program at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the poultry pathology division, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and research initiatives

- Conduct advanced research on poultry diseases, including epidemiology, pathogenesis, and control strategies
- Oversee the development and validation of diagnostic assays and methodologies for poultry health assessments
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert consultation on poultry health issues
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for poultry health and pathology practices
- Mentor and train junior pathologists and veterinary staff in diagnostic techniques and research methodologies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, with specialized training in poultry pathology
- 10+ years of experience in poultry health and pathology, including leadership roles
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic pathology and research methodologies
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals related to poultry health
Preferred:
- Board certification in poultry pathology or related specialty
- Experience with advanced molecular diagnostic techniques and bioinformatics
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in diagnostic techniques including histopathology, necropsy, and molecular diagnostics
- Familiarity with poultry production systems and health management practices
- Experience with laboratory accreditation processes and quality control measures
