Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Plant Controlling to oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our manufacturing facilities. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate financial management and support operational excellence while driving cost efficiencies and profitability across our plants.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process for all manufacturing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and financial performance
- Collaborate with plant management to develop cost control measures and operational improvements
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial analysis and market trends
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and GAAP standards
- Drive the implementation of financial systems and process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial modeling techniques
- Proven track record of driving financial performance improvements
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle
- Strong understanding of supply chain finance and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting data-driven insights
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
