Role Overview
We are seeking a Chief Physician Assistant to lead our advanced practice provider team, overseeing clinical operations while ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care. This role will involve strategic planning, mentorship, and the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
- Oversee the training, performance evaluation, and continuous professional development of physician assistants and other advanced practice providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care pathways and improve clinical outcomes.
- Conduct regular audits and performance assessments to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to address healthcare trends, patient needs, and operational challenges.
- Act as a liaison between advanced practice providers and medical staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- 10+ years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical best practices, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare management or administrative role.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and EHR systems.
- Understanding of telehealth technologies and their integration into patient care.
- Experience with quality assurance and performance improvement tools.
