Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead our remote pharmacy operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing our pharmacy services through innovative practices and strong leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the pharmacy technician team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies.
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for pharmacy technicians to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practices.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication management.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Address and resolve any operational issues, ensuring continuity of pharmacy services.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Active pharmacy technician license in the relevant state.
- 3+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication therapy management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with pharmacy management software and data analytics tools.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a remote work environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Understanding of drug interactions, pharmacology, and medication dispensing processes.
- Familiarity with telepharmacy practices and remote healthcare delivery.
