Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional service to our customers. In this hybrid role, you will assist in various administrative tasks, ensure the accuracy of prescription orders, and maintain inventory levels, all while contributing to a positive and efficient pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
- Manage inventory by tracking medication supplies, placing orders, and conducting regular stock audits.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating smooth transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and filing.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or relevant coursework in pharmacology.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Basic knowledge of medication names, dosages, and pharmaceutical calculations.
