Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Petroleum Operations Supervisor to lead our operations team in ensuring efficient and safe production processes. In this role, you will be pivotal in overseeing daily operations, optimizing production, and implementing best practices in line with industry standards, all while fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily petroleum operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Lead a team of operators and technicians, driving performance through effective coaching and mentoring
- Optimize production processes by analyzing operational data and implementing improvements
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to develop and implement operational best practices
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, reports, and resource allocations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in petroleum operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of oil and gas production processes and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex operations effectively
Preferred:
- Professional certification in petroleum engineering or related disciplines
- Experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools and operational software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in production management software and SCADA systems
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making
- Knowledge of drilling and completion techniques
