Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Personal Support Supervisor to lead and oversee a dedicated team of personal support workers. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to our clients while managing day-to-day operations and fostering a supportive environment for your team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of personal support workers, ensuring adherence to care plans and compliance with policy and regulations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team skills and service delivery
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate client care and address complex needs
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes
- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Facilitate communication between clients, families, and the support team to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the healthcare or personal support sector
- Strong understanding of care standards, regulations, and best practices in personal support
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client-centered care
Preferred:
- Certification in personal support work or related field
- Experience in developing training programs or educational materials for staff
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using EHR systems for documentation and client management
