Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team, providing exceptional support to clients in their daily lives. In this role, you will assist individuals with personal care tasks, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, ensuring dignity and respect
- Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance
- Observe and monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and care plans, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a caregiving or personal care role
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
Preferred:
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
- Experience working with clients with specific needs, such as dementia or mobility challenges
- Familiarity with basic healthcare concepts and terminology
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using basic medical equipment and technology for client care
- Ability to document care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of safety and emergency protocols in home healthcare settings

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team member
