Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior PC Technician to join our technical support team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for our users, ensuring smooth operation of their systems. Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or chat, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals
- Perform routine system checks and updates to ensure optimal performance and security
- Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate records of support interactions
- Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate complex issues and contribute to knowledge sharing
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in a technical support role or related field
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of PC components, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
