Role Overview
We are seeking a Fleet Driver Supervisor to lead our team of drivers in delivering exceptional service and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations. This role is critical in developing best practices, optimizing routes, and implementing performance metrics to elevate both driver performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the fleet, including staffing, scheduling, and performance management of drivers
- Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to minimize costs and maximize delivery efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes and improve service delivery
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship to drivers to foster a culture of excellence
- Act as the primary point of contact for driver-related inquiries and issues, ensuring timely resolution
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations
- Proven track record of leading teams and improving operational performance
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or a related field
- Experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and route optimization tools
- Experience with data analysis tools and performance tracking software
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance tracking and reporting systems
