Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Supervisor of Parcel Post Carriers to lead our dynamic team in ensuring efficient delivery operations across our expansive network. This role is integral to enhancing service quality and operational excellence while fostering an environment of accountability and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of parcel post carriers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery services that meet customer expectations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize routing, staffing, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to parcel post carriers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams to address delivery issues, ensuring resolutions are communicated effectively.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies, ensuring all team members adhere to best practices.
- Analyze delivery metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making and drive improvements in service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of managing teams and achieving operational goals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with parcel delivery systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the transportation industry.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in logistics management software and delivery tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of route optimization tools and fleet management.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel for data analysis.
