Role Overview
As a Principal Oxidation Engineer at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a critical role in advancing our semiconductor fabrication processes by leading the development and optimization of oxidation methodologies. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced oxidation processes to enhance semiconductor device performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, materials science, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of oxidation solutions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and characterization of oxidation processes using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process specifications, guidelines, and technical reports.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field with a focus on oxidation processes.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing with a strong emphasis on oxidation techniques.
- Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects and driving successful outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced oxidation techniques such as rapid thermal oxidation (RTO) and wet oxidation.
- Familiarity with semiconductor device fabrication processes and cleanroom environments.
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals related to oxidation and materials science.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of oxidation principles and mechanisms.
- Experience with analytical tools such as ellipsometry, SEM, and FTIR for process characterization.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) methodologies.
