Role Overview
As a Senior NOC Analyst at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a critical role in maintaining the uptime and performance of our network infrastructure. You'll leverage your expertise in network monitoring and incident response to ensure seamless connectivity for our clients while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and availability, utilizing advanced tools and technologies to detect and resolve issues proactively
- Lead incident management efforts, coordinating response teams and providing timely updates to stakeholders during outages or service disruptions
- Analyze network incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures, enhancing overall system reliability
- Document and maintain detailed incident reports, knowledge bases, and process documentation to ensure organizational learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network changes and upgrades while minimizing service impact
- Mentor junior analysts and provide training on best practices in network operations and incident management
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment, with a proven track record in incident management
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow)
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex network issues and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly desirable
- Experience with cloud networking and services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash, etc.) to enhance operational efficiency
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Experience with firewalls, routers, and switches
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and frameworks
