Role Overview
We are seeking a Night Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our nighttime operational activities, ensuring that our processes run smoothly and efficiently during critical hours. You will be instrumental in managing teams, enhancing workflow, and maintaining safety and compliance standards, all while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the night operations team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and performance during nighttime hours
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and audits
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations
- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during nighttime operations, implementing corrective actions as needed
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Strong analytical skills to assess operational performance and implement improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the industry
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using operations management software and tools to track performance and streamline processes
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making
- Competence in inventory management systems and logistics planning
