Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Night Audit Manager to lead our night audit team, ensuring the accurate reconciliation of daily financial transactions while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. In this critical role, you will oversee the night audit process, optimize operational efficiencies, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the night audit operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reports
- Implement and maintain procedures for auditing, cash handling, and financial reporting
- Review and verify all daily transactions and ensure the accurate posting of charges
- Collaborate with front desk and management teams to address guest inquiries and resolve issues
- Train and mentor night audit staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to management
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting as required
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in hotel accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and reports
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in property management systems and financial software
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in a hybrid work environment
- Familiarity with hotel management software and reporting tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools
- Experience with property management systems (e.g., Opera, Maestro)
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
