Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Junior Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized team in providing high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients—newborns and infants. In this role, you will support the management of neonatal patients under the supervision of experienced practitioners while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and management of neonatal patients, including conducting thorough physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and provide timely interventions as necessary.
- Educate families on neonatal care, including feeding, development, and potential health concerns.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or eligibility for certification.
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice with an understanding of neonatal nursing principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with patients and families.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in a neonatal or pediatric environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
- Basic understanding of neonatal pharmacology and common medical interventions.
