Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fire Chief to lead our fire department in providing exceptional emergency response and fire prevention services to the community. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational management, and fostering a culture of safety and professionalism within the department.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fire service strategies, policies, and programs to ensure effective response to emergencies
- Oversee operational readiness, including personnel training, equipment maintenance, and facility management
- Lead and mentor a team of firefighters and support staff, promoting continuous professional development and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with local government and community stakeholders to enhance fire prevention and safety initiatives

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire service, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of fire operations, emergency management, and public safety policies
- Proven track record of effective team leadership and community engagement
- Certified Fire Officer (CFO) or equivalent certification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a large metropolitan fire department
- Advanced education in fire science, emergency management, or a related field
- Proficiency in incident command systems and fire investigation techniques
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of fire suppression systems, hazardous materials response, and emergency medical services
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and performance metrics
- Familiarity with technology solutions for emergency response and incident reporting
