Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Shop Manager to lead our Motorcycle Repair shop. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of technicians, and ensure the highest standards of service and repair quality are met, all while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Supervise and mentor a team of motorcycle technicians, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills
- Oversee customer interactions, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all repairs meet industry standards
- Manage inventory levels, ordering parts and supplies as needed to support operations
- Collaborate with upper management to develop and implement business strategies for growth and efficiency
- Monitor shop performance metrics, analyzing data to drive improvements and operational excellence
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in motorcycle repair or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong technical knowledge of motorcycle systems and repair processes
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with managing shop operations, including financial oversight and budgeting
- Certifications from recognized motorcycle repair programs
- Familiarity with various motorcycle brands and models
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of motorcycle diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Experience with inventory management software and point of sale systems
- Proficient in using digital communication tools for remote team management
