Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager for our motorcycle division, responsible for overseeing all service operations, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repairs, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate service schedules, and optimize workflow processes within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and training technicians to ensure quality service delivery
- Implement and oversee operational processes to optimize efficiency and productivity within the service department
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
- Monitor service quality metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to uphold high standards
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, goals, and performance metrics to staff
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of parts and tools needed for service operations
- Collaborate with sales and management teams to align service offerings with company objectives and customer needs
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a service management role, preferably within the automotive or motorcycle industry
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong understanding of motorcycle mechanics and service operations
- Exceptional customer service skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Technical certifications related to motorcycle repair and service
- Experience with service management software and tools
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in motorcycle service
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment commonly used in motorcycle service
- Strong technical knowledge of motorcycle systems and repair techniques
- Experience with service management systems to track repairs, manage scheduling, and analyze performance
