Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Winder Supervisor to lead our winding team in the production of high-quality electric motors. In this role, you will oversee the winding process, ensuring that all operations meet our stringent quality standards while optimizing workflow efficiency. You will be responsible for mentoring and training team members, maintaining safety protocols, and managing production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the winding team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections of winding processes and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff on winding techniques and safety practices
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve winding processes and resolve production issues
- Monitor inventory levels of winding materials and components, coordinating with procurement as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report to management on performance and process improvements
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in an electric motor manufacturing environment, with a focus on winding
- Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising a production team
- Strong understanding of electrical motor design and winding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Commitment to safety practices and quality control
Preferred:
- Experience with automated winding machinery and equipment
- Certification in electrical engineering or related field
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
