Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Driver Trainer (Motor Coach) to enhance our training programs and ensure the highest standards of safety and performance for our drivers. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing training materials, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our driving team.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new and existing motor coach drivers, focusing on safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and assessments to evaluate driver performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs and develop targeted programs that meet those needs.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to drivers, facilitating their professional development and addressing performance gaps.
- Monitor training outcomes and gather feedback to continuously refine training methodologies and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to driver training and safety.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a motor coach driver with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a training or mentoring role, preferably within the transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to motor coach operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate drivers.
Preferred:
- Certification in driver training or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Proficiency in using training technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with training management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other digital communication tools.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software used in transportation and logistics.
