Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team, delivering exceptional patient care through high-quality blood collection services. This role is critical in ensuring safe, timely, and accurate blood draws in various settings, contributing to the health and wellbeing of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures in a variety of environments, demonstrating utmost professionalism and compassion.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and health regulations while ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Accurately label and handle specimens for transportation, adhering to established protocols.
- Educate patients on the blood draw process, addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication regarding test results and follow-up care.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification from a recognized body.
- 1+ years of experience in phlebotomy or related clinical experience.
- Strong knowledge of blood collection techniques and infection control practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse patient populations.
Preferred:
- Experience in a mobile or field-based healthcare role.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with medical laboratory equipment and blood collection devices.
- Proficient in the use of patient management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of relevant compliance regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
