Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Mineral Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering innovative solutions in mineral exploration, extraction, and processing. In this role, you will drive technical excellence, project execution, and team development while ensuring compliance with environmental standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design and implementation of mineral processing systems and infrastructure
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Develop and implement engineering standards and best practices for mineral extraction and processing
- Collaborate with geologists, environmental scientists, and project managers to optimize mineral recovery and reduce operational risks
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects, providing technical guidance and recommendations
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the engineering team and across the organization
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in mineral engineering or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mineral processing techniques and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Experience with innovative technologies in mineral processing, such as automation and data analytics
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards in the mining sector
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in mineral processing software and tools, including CAD and simulation software
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools to drive decision-making
