Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Meeting Planner to join our dynamic events team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of meetings and events, including logistics, vendor management, and attendee communications.
- Work closely with senior planners to understand specific requirements and assist in developing event agendas and timelines.
- Conduct research to identify suitable venues and suppliers that align with event objectives and budget.
- Support the registration process, manage attendee inquiries, and ensure timely communication with participants.
- Help prepare event materials, including presentations, handouts, and promotional items.
- Participate in on-site event management, ensuring that all details are executed as planned and addressing any issues that arise.
- Assist in post-event evaluations and reporting, gathering feedback and insights to inform future planning.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in event planning, project management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software.
Preferred:
- Experience in a corporate meeting planning environment.
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial management for events.
- Experience with virtual event platforms and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with event management software and tools (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite).
- Basic understanding of AV equipment and logistics.
- Proficient in using collaboration tools such as Slack or Microsoft Teams.
