Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Corporate Meeting Planner to join the dynamic events team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. In this role, you will assist in the planning and execution of corporate meetings and events, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees while adhering to organizational standards and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of corporate meetings, conferences, and events from inception to completion
- Collaborate with senior planners to develop event concepts, agendas, and timelines
- Assist in vendor selection and management, including negotiating contracts and coordinating logistics
- Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and catering services for attendees
- Maintain accurate records of expenses and budgets to ensure adherence to financial guidelines
- Provide on-site support during events, managing attendee registration, setup, and troubleshooting
- Gather feedback post-event to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or related roles, preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with event management software and tools
- Experience managing budgets and financial tracking
- Knowledge of best practices in event planning and execution
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and technology used in corporate events
