Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Conference Coordinator to join our dynamic events team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in planning and executing conferences and events that align with our mission and brand identity. You will work closely with senior coordinators and various stakeholders to ensure seamless event operations while gaining invaluable experience in the events industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the logistics and planning of conferences and events, including venue selection, vendor management, and scheduling
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels
- Support the development of event materials, including agendas, presentations, and promotional content
- Coordinate with speakers and attendees to manage registrations, accommodations, and travel arrangements
- Monitor event budgets and assist in financial tracking and reporting
- Gather feedback from attendees post-event to contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related roles, including internships
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with event planning software and tools
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in an event context
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello or similar
- Experience with virtual event platforms is a plus
