Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Documentation Manager who will play a critical role in overseeing the loan documentation process for our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of loan documentation standards and regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the lifecycle of loan agreements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the loan documentation team, providing leadership and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Develop, implement, and maintain documentation procedures and policies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Review and analyze loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting and compliance teams, to ensure seamless processing and approval of loan documentation.
- Conduct training sessions for team members on documentation standards, compliance issues, and updates to policies.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to documentation efficiency and compliance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in loan documentation or a related role within the financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of loan products, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving process improvements.
Preferred:
- Experience with automated loan documentation systems and tools.
- Certification in loan documentation or related financial services credential.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in loan origination software and document management systems.
- Strong analytical skills to assess documentation for compliance and risk.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as RESPA, TILA, and Dodd-Frank.
