Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Manager to oversee our aquatic programs and facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, training, and operational excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff, developing program offerings, and fostering a culture of health and wellness through aquatic activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aquatic operations, including pool maintenance, safety protocols, and staff performance.
- Develop and implement engaging aquatic programs and training sessions tailored to various skill levels.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and industry best practices in all aquatic activities.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate lifeguards and swim instructors, fostering a culture of professional development.
- Coordinate scheduling for staff and programs, optimizing resource allocation for peak usage times.
- Monitor and manage budgetary considerations, including financial reporting and cost control measures.
- Engage with the community to promote aquatic programs and enhance participation through marketing and outreach initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aquatics management or a similar role, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
- Strong knowledge of aquatic safety standards and facility operations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
Preferred:
- Experience in program development and marketing for aquatic activities.
- Additional certifications such as Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in facility management software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to analyze data related to program effectiveness and participant engagement.
