Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Library and Information Technology Instructor to join our esteemed educational institution. In this role, you will support the development and delivery of innovative curriculum and instruction in Library and Information Technology, enhancing student learning experiences and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of Library and Information Technology courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Facilitate engaging online and hybrid learning environments, utilizing various instructional technologies and pedagogical strategies to promote active learning.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into the curriculum and enhance library services.
- Conduct assessments of student learning and utilize data to inform instructional strategies and improve course offerings.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with trends in library science and educational technology.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching or instructional design in higher education.
- Strong understanding of library technologies, information literacy, and digital resources.
Preferred:
- Experience with online course development and delivery.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design software.
