Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to support our legal team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing legal documentation, assisting with case management, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our legal department.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage legal documentation, including contracts, agreements, and litigation files to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assist attorneys with case management tasks, including filing, scheduling, and tracking deadlines
- Conduct legal research and gather information to support ongoing legal matters
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring compliance with legal standards
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of documents
- Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve inquiries
- Support the legal team in various administrative tasks, including calendar management and meeting coordination
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a legal or administrative support role
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal administrative position or similar environment
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and documentation processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal management software
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Familiarity with case management systems and e-filing processes
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in legal research tools and databases
- Experience with document management systems and software
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the legal industry
