Role Overview
We are seeking a Landscape Manager to lead our landscape design and maintenance initiatives, ensuring that all projects align with our sustainability goals and aesthetic standards. In this role, you will oversee a diverse range of landscaping projects, manage a dedicated team, and collaborate with various stakeholders to create beautiful and environmentally sustainable outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute landscape design plans that reflect the client's vision while adhering to environmental best practices.
- Manage day-to-day operations of landscape maintenance, including staff supervision and resource allocation.
- Conduct site assessments to determine soil conditions, plant health, and other factors that influence landscape design and maintenance.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate landscape architecture into site designs.
- Implement sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation, native plant use, and soil health improvement.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Provide leadership and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in landscaping and horticulture.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and project documentation to ensure successful project delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in landscape management, including project leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, soil management, and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective time management skills.
Preferred:
- Professional Certification in Landscape Architecture (e.g., ASLA certification).
- Experience with landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Familiarity with local environmental regulations and sustainable development practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in landscape design principles and techniques.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, pest management, and landscape maintenance equipment.
