We are looking for a skilled Lamp Operator to join our production team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain lighting equipment for various productions, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate closely with directors, cinematographers, and other crew members to understand lighting needs and execute creative visions
- Adjust lighting setups based on scene requirements, ensuring consistency and quality across shots
- Monitor lighting equipment during production to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
- Assist in the design and implementation of lighting plans that meet production goals and artistic direction
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Lamp Operator or in a similar role within the film, television, or theater industry
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of lighting equipment, including LED lights, spotlights, and other specialized gear
- Familiarity with lighting design software and tools
- Knowledge of electrical systems and basic troubleshooting skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating various lighting equipment and accessories
- Understanding of different lighting techniques, including key lighting, fill lighting, and backlighting
- Experience with power distribution and cable management for lighting setups
