Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the production team, including directors and lighting designers, to understand the artistic intent and execute lighting cues effectively.
- Conduct pre-show tests of lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
- Maintain and repair lighting equipment as necessary, ensuring all gear is in excellent working order before, during, and after events.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices in operating lighting equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for all crew members.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of lighting equipment in various venues as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a spotlight operator or in a similar role within live events or theater productions.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing performance conditions.
Preferred:
- Experience working with various types of spotlight equipment and control systems.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with stage management and production processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in operating high-intensity spotlight systems and related lighting technology.
- Experience with DMX control systems and lighting automation software.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new equipment and technologies.
