Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our team as a Justice advocate. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in championing equitable solutions and driving initiatives that promote social justice and community empowerment. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to implement programs that foster inclusivity, fairness, and systemic change.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement justice-related initiatives that address systemic inequalities and promote social equity.
- Engage with community members and organizations to identify critical issues and develop actionable solutions.
- Advocate for policy changes at local, state, and national levels to advance social justice goals.
- Conduct research and data analysis to inform program development and assess community needs.
- Facilitate workshops, trainings, and community dialogues to raise awareness and build capacity around justice issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of justice initiatives with organizational goals.
- Monitor and evaluate program impact, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in social justice, community organizing, or related fields.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful justice initiatives.
- Strong understanding of social justice frameworks and community engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across various sectors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding of intersectionality in social justice.
- Advanced degree in social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and program evaluation methodologies.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for communication and advocacy.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to interpret and present data effectively.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello) to track project progress and outcomes.
- Ability to leverage social media and digital marketing strategies for advocacy campaigns.
