Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Manager to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy in inventory records, and efficient supply chain operations. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in inventory processes, contributing to cost reductions and enhanced operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory
- Oversee the cycle counting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Leverage data analytics to forecast inventory needs, track performance metrics, and report on key findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to align inventory strategies with business goals
- Manage the inventory management software and systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration with other business functions
- Lead training initiatives for staff on inventory management best practices and compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, ISM)
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis tools
- Experience with Excel and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and warehouse management systems
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey inventory strategies effectively
