Role Overview
As an Assistant Innkeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services. You will work closely with the Innkeeper to deliver exceptional guest experiences, manage daily operations, and uphold our commitment to quality and excellence. Your unique ability to multitask and prioritize will be essential in contributing to our welcoming and vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the inn, including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance oversight
- Support the Innkeeper in coordinating staff schedules and training new employees to ensure high service standards
- Engage with guests to provide personalized service and address any inquiries or concerns promptly
- Help maintain the inn's online presence, including managing social media accounts and responding to reviews
- Collaborate with the Innkeeper to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new guests
- Monitor inventory of supplies and assist in procurement to ensure smooth operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality setting
- Proficiency in property management software and online booking systems
- Knowledge of local attractions and ability to share recommendations with guests
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and booking software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
