Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Infusion Services to lead and optimize our infusion therapy programs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and clinical aspects of infusion services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while driving efficiency and innovation in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of infusion services within the organization.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, clinical protocols, and organizational policies in all infusion service operations.
- Conduct regular assessments of service delivery and patient outcomes, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infusion services with overall patient care pathways, enhancing the patient experience.
- Manage budgetary allocations and resource utilization effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
- Engage with stakeholders, including physicians, nursing staff, and administrative leaders, to promote infusion services and identify opportunities for growth.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in infusion therapy or a related clinical area, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Current and valid nursing license or appropriate clinical certification.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards in infusion services.
Preferred:
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Infusion Nursing Certification).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics.
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership in a healthcare setting.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in the use of healthcare technology and software to enhance service delivery and patient care.
