Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Dialysis Nursing to lead our dialysis nursing team and drive excellence in patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, clinical oversight, and operational management of dialysis services, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the quality of dialysis services and patient care outcomes
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards of care
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursing personnel within the dialysis department
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and implement evidence-based practices
- Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements related to dialysis services
- Facilitate continuing education and professional development opportunities for nursing staff
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current RN licensure and certification in dialysis nursing
- 5+ years of nursing experience in dialysis, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of dialysis protocols, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing clinical operations and improving patient outcomes
Preferred:
- Doctorate in Nursing or a related field
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and data analytics for performance improvement
- Leadership experience in a multi-site dialysis organization
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in dialysis technologies, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- Proficiency in EHR systems and clinical data management tools
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and performance metrics
