Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Medication Technician to join our innovative healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing medication management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of medication technicians to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the medication management team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, and documentation of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols for medication handling and storage.
- Conduct training and development programs for medication technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor medication inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and timely replenishment.
- Act as a liaison between pharmacy and healthcare teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination of care.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in medication management or pharmacy technician roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of medication dispensing processes, pharmacology, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving processes and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a remote healthcare environment or telehealth services.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and pharmacy management software.
- Advanced certifications related to medication management or pharmacy.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in medication management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to leverage data analytics tools to track medication compliance and improve patient outcomes.
