Role Overview
We are seeking a distinguished academic leader for the position of Endowed Chair in Information Systems. Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct pioneering research in Information Systems, contributing to high-impact publications and securing external funding.
- Develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses that inspire and challenge students, fostering a rich learning environment.
- Mentor faculty and students, promoting academic growth and collaborative research efforts across departments.
- Engage with industry partners to align research with practical applications, enhancing the relevance of our academic programs.
- Serve on departmental and university committees, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
- Organize and participate in workshops, conferences, and seminars to disseminate research findings and promote scholarly dialogue.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related field, with a strong record of scholarly research and publications.
- Minimum of 10 years of academic experience, including leadership roles in research and teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to secure funding for research initiatives and lead funded projects.
Preferred:
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships with industry.
- A track record of curriculum development and innovation in teaching methodologies.
- Recognition as a thought leader in the field of Information Systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, big data analytics, and cloud computing, and their applications in Information Systems.
- Proficient in research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and the use of relevant software tools.
- Experience with program accreditation processes and standards.
