Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary academic leader to fill the position of Endowed Chair in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Responsibilities

- Contribute to the academic community through service on committees and participation in professional organizations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Geography, Geographic Information Science, or a closely related field.
- A strong record of scholarly research and publications in GIS and related areas.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Proven track record of securing research funding from federal and state agencies.
Preferred:
- Experience leading interdisciplinary research teams and collaborations.
- Established network within the GIS community and related professional organizations.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
