Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Hospital Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for our patients. You will be responsible for supporting medication dispensing, patient counseling, and maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in accordance with established protocols
- Conduct medication reconciliation and review patient medication histories to ensure safety and efficacy
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers
- Participate in pharmacy rounds, offering expertise in pharmacotherapy and medication management
- Support the development of pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance medication safety
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team meetings and educational initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school
- Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical pharmacy practices
Preferred:
- Previous clinical pharmacy experience through internships or rotations
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and pharmacy management software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in pharmacotherapy principles and medication safety guidelines
- Experience with medication dispensing systems and clinical decision support tools
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in hospital pharmacy
