Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Horticulture to lead our innovative horticultural initiatives. This role will involve the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs that enhance plant health, sustainability, and cultivation practices across various environments. Responsibilities

- Lead research initiatives focused on plant breeding, pest management, and sustainable growing techniques.
- Oversee the management of horticultural projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists, agronomists, and other specialists to enhance plant health and ecosystem resilience.
- Develop educational programs and workshops for staff and stakeholders to promote best practices in horticulture.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agronomy, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in horticultural management or a related field with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong knowledge of plant physiology, pest management, and sustainable agriculture practices.
- Experience in project management and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals related to horticulture or plant sciences.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding for horticultural research projects.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using horticultural software for project planning, data analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and field research methodologies.
- Understanding of GIS technology and its applications in horticulture.
