Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor specializing in Foundry Equipment to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will oversee the maintenance operations for critical foundry machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Management:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure all foundry equipment is maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Analyze equipment performance metrics and lead root cause analysis on breakdowns, driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Team Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and training to maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to the professional development of team members.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and materials.
- Assist in the procurement and evaluation of maintenance tools and equipment, ensuring the team is equipped for optimal performance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision within a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, particularly as they pertain to foundry equipment.
- Proven track record of implementing effective maintenance strategies and leading teams.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Technical certifications related to maintenance management (e.g., CMMS, CMRP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of predictive maintenance techniques and technologies.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 solutions and IoT applications in maintenance.
