Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Flat Sorter Supervisor to lead our sorting operations and ensure the efficient and accurate processing of flat items. In this role, you will oversee daily sorting activities, manage a team of sorters, and work closely with other departments to optimize workflow and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the flat sorting team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all sorting tasks.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate sorting staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor sorting performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, to streamline operations and resolve any sorting-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of sorting operations, including performance reports and inventory management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a sorting or logistics environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with sorting equipment and processes, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Preferred:
- Experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using sorting and inventory management software.
- Ability to analyze performance data and implement process improvements.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems related to sorting equipment.
