Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to lead our team in promoting health and wellness through innovative fitness programs and initiatives. As a pivotal figure in our organization, you will develop strategies that enhance the overall fitness experience for our clients while ensuring operational excellence and team development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive fitness programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clientele
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of fitness staff, creating a high-performing team culture
- Monitor and analyze fitness program effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and industry trends to continuously improve offerings
- Develop and manage budgets for fitness programs, ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages member engagement and retention
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote fitness programs and initiatives, increasing visibility and participation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean fitness environment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the fitness industry, with a strong background in program management
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in team development and performance management
- Certifications in fitness training, personal training, and CPR/First Aid
Preferred:
- Experience in a managerial role within a fitness organization
- Knowledge of current fitness trends, technology, and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for motivating clients and staff
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fitness management software and tools
- Experience with social media and marketing tools to promote fitness programs
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to enhance fitness offerings
